Migrate 0.6 on server a -> 0.7 on server b

Hi

I try to move from homegear 0.6 to a different server where 0.7 is installed - the old server will be switched off then.

Is there already a recommended way to move the homematicbidcos (db.sql) to the new system?

when using the same version I would simply copy the database.
But I think the database structure in 0.7 has changed a little bit - at least it has 4 more tables.

any help appreciated.

Hey @jipp,

the migration is no problem. The database will be converted automatically. Just copy the two directories /etc/homegear and /var/lib/homegear (without /var/lib/homegear/modules and without /var/lib/homegear/flows/nodes) over to the new system.

thx a lot - you are right.

I also tried the minimal copy - only the “db.sql”. All devices appeared in the DB.
